Harland and Wolff and Corks Latest Bridge

27 April 2005 Harland and Wolff Heavy Industries Ltd, the Belfast-based marine and civil engineering company, has completed the fabrication and installation of a land mark bridge in Cork. The Mardyke foot bridge which spans the River Lee is a glistening white steel tubular structure measuring some 57 metres and weighing 65 tonnes.


Harland Builds ands Installs Somerset Bridge

21 April 2005 Harland and Wolff Heavy Industries has successfully installed a Belfast-built railway bridge in Somerset. The 235-tonne bridge is 43 metres long and will carry a road over three railway lines to replace a level crossing near Taunton.


Norwegian Consul Visits Harland and Wolff

19 January 2005 Harland and Wolff management and employees are bracing themselves for a second year of intense business growth following a busy 2004. The Belfast shipyard is at maximum capacity with no fewer than two ferries, two high speed catamaran ferries, a tanker and three semi-submersible offshore platforms in the yard for repair and upgrade.


Harland and Wolff full of Dolphins

05 January 2005 Belfast-based Harland and Wolff Heavy Industries has been awarded the contract to repair and upgrade two large semi-submersible oilrigs from oil company Dolphin Drilling. The contract has helped Harland and Wolff achieve a 60% increase in dockings this year.
