Harland and Wolff Returns Cobelfret Vessel to ‘As New’ Condition

11 August 2003 Harland and Wolff Heavy Industries successfully completed a Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) refurbishment project against a very tight deadline this week. The Sea Crusader, which has been in leased service with the RFA for the last seven years, is returning to her original owners, Belgium-based Cobelfret, and civilian life as a RoRo (roll-on roll-off) trailer ferry. She has been renamed the Celestine and will be managed by Euroship Services.


Busy July at Harland and Wolff

04 July 2003 Harland and Wolff Heavy Industries is to undertake docking and repair work for a Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship and two large ferries in the P&O fleet. The P&O European Highlander and European Causeway will dock in Harland and Wolff’s repair facilities this week and next and the RFA Strategic RoCon vessel the Sea Crusader in mid-July, says the yard.


Double docking at Harland and Wolff

03 June 2003 Harland and Wolff Heavy Industries completed two refits in a double docking in its repair dock on Queen’s Island in Belfast last week. Stena Line Ltd docked the ‘Stena Caledonia’ behind the Havilah, a 50-meter fishing trawler operating from Kilkeel in County Down.
